Snow - Yea or Nay?

When the house quieted down and I was finally alone, I opened the side door and finally smiled.

Magnificent. Beautiful. Peaceful.

The snow covered bushes, the sidewalks covered in white…. A complete winter wonderland!

Look, I know that snow is not so popular with adults… The slippery ice is dreaded. The shoveling is a hassle. The messed up midwinter vacation plans… I truly have compassion for everyone that is affected by a blizzard.

And at the same time, I can’t deny that the sight of snow delights, excites, and inspires me. 

Snow is not for everyone - but for the people who love it, it’s a sparkly gift! 

Well, you are not for everyone either!  

If you have been in the game for any length of time, I’m sure you have met people who have politely or impolitely rejected you, didn’t understand you, or maybe even asked for a refund…    😱

But no, that doesn’t mean you need to rethink your entire career… It doesn’t mean you are a failure or a loser. You don’t have to quit it all yesterday. 

On behalf of all those who need your gifts, I ask you to please hang in there! Because there WILL be those who tremendously appreciate what you have to offer. There will be people who connect with you, respect you, and seek your unique expertise.
 

When you feel discouraged, just imagine how sad I would be if the snow would never come back because half the world hates it.
